Now that you found the perfect wedding photographer it's important to follow some steps before you sign your contract. Remember your wedding photographer will play an important role in your wedding and you need to make sure you hire the perfect one. These tips will help you feel confidant of your decision. STEP 1: Check Reviews & Testimonials

When you find a Wedding Photographer that you like. The first thing you need to do is check their reviews and testimonials. It’s important to see what other couples have to say.

STEP 2: Ask to See a Full Wedding Day They Shot

Most Wedding Photographer post their favorite photos but you may wonder how an actual full wedding day may look. Ask your potential Wedding Photographer to show you a full day.

STEP 3: Schedule a Meet & Greet

If you have been reading our wedding tips, you may have heard this before. It is very important to meet your wedding photographer face to face and connect.

STEP 4: Be Prepared with Questions and Concerns

There’s certain questions you’d want to ask your Wedding Photographer. Be prepared with your questions and take notes, this will help you make a selection when the time comes.

STEP 5: Presentable, Personable & Professional

Your wedding photographer is going to be in direct contact with your entire family and friends. You want to make sure they possess the three P’s! Presentable, Personable & Professional.

STEP 6: Ask to See Prints and Photo Albums

Today everyone seems to only care about being able to see photos on phones and computer screens but you may wonder how your photos will look when you print them.

 

Ask to see a photo album and prints to get an idea of what your photos will look like.

STEP 7: Confirm What's Included and Make Sure it's in Writing

This could not be any clearer. Wedding vendors in general can be great salespeople, this includes Wedding Photographers. They may promise you free of charge incentives to have you book them but may be easily forgotten.

 

Make sure you write down those promises and when the time comes, make sure it gets included on the contract.

STEP 8: Review Contract Before Signing & Keep a Copy

Make sure you read your contract thoroughly, ask for needed revisions if necessary. Once you completely agree with your contract, sign it and make sure you keep a copy for yourself.

STEP 9: Schedule a Save a Date or Engagement Photo Shoot

Consider this a trial run. This is a great way to see how well you bond with your wedding photographer at a more relaxed setting. It will also allow you to see how well they are able to capture you both.

 

If you are unhappy with your wedding photographer after this shoot, you should have enough time to consider a replacement.

STEP 10: Book a Year in Advance to Secure & Receive Better

It’s important to book your Wedding Photographer at least one year in advance. Especially if you’re planning your wedding during the Wedding Season. You will also recieve the best rates this way.
